This perfectly manicured course meanders through
the Sonoran Desert landscape and features breathtaking,
panoramic vistas, including some of the areas well-known
landmarks such as Pinnacle Peak. The course is truly
a challenging, but fair test, situated within a
scenic, natural environment.
Legend Trail Golf Club provides a challenging experience,
especially playing at a distance of 6,845 yards.
Offering four sets of tees to accommodate a variety
of skill levels. In the August 2000 issue of Golf
For Women, Legend Trail received the "Top 100
Fairways, Women-Friendly Course Award." With
our "Short Trail" playing at a distance
of 5000 yards, women are able to enjoy playing our
course as much as the men. The entire golf course
experience will be enjoyable for all that play.
Legend Trail has a complete practice facility including
a large two-tiered hitting area, chipping and sand
range, and two putting surfaces. Accommodating up
to 40 stations of players.
The Trails End Grille offers a variety of "Southwestern"
dishes. dining is available inside and outside
by the fireplace. Trails End Grille Hours of Operation:
Breakfast: Wed. - Sun. 8am - 11am;
Lunch: Everyday 11am - 3pm.
Legend Trail founder Al Mengert was Director of
Golf for fourteen years at the famous Oakland Hills
Country Club. After retiring in 1987, he had the
honor of becoming the first professional to host
the PGA Championship, the United States Open Championship
and the United States Senior Open Championship.
Mengert has also had an outstanding playing career
as a club professional. His phenomenal record of
playing in twenty-nine Major Championships, including
eight Masters, may never be equaled by another club
professional. As a Senior player, Al played in nineteen
Major Senior Championships including the United
States Senior Open, the British Senior Open and
the PGA Senior Championship.
One of Al's proudest moments in golf was the opening
of Legend Trail Golf Club. He and the entire staff
welcome you for a memorable golfing experience.

Directions
From the North: Take I-17 South to Carefree highway.
Exit East, and go about 15 miles to Scottsdale Road.
Turn Right on Scottsdale Road and go South one mile
to Lone Mountain. Turn Left at Lone Mountain and
follow it across to Pima Road. Turn Left at Pima
Road and go North one mile to Legend Trail Parkway.
Turn Right on Legend Trail Parkway and go 1.5 miles
to Legendary Lane. Turn Left on Legendary Lane,
and go one block to the clubhouse entrance. Approximate
drive time: 10 minutes from Carefree
From the South: Take Route 101 North to exit 36
which will exit you onto Pima Road at Princess Drive.
Continue North on Pima Road to Legend Trail Parkway,
which is located approximately 12 miles North of
Frank Lloyd Wright and 3 miles north of Dynamite
Road. Turn Right on Legend Trail Parkway and go
1.5 miles to Legendary Lane. Turn left on Legendary
Lane, and go one block to clubhouse entrance. Approximate
drive time: 30 minutes from Downtown Scottsdale
From Sky Harbor Airport:
Follow signs exiting the airport for Scottsdale.
Exit onto Route 202 East. Exit from right lane to
Route 101 North. Take 101 North until it ends which
will exit you onto Pima Road at Princess Drive.
Continue North on Pima Road to Legend Trail Parkway,
which is located approximately 12 miles north of
Frank Lloyd Wright and 3 miles north of Dynamite
Road. Turn right on Legend Trail Parkway and go
1.5 miles to Legendary Lane. Turn left on Legendary
Lane, and go one block to clubhouse entrance. Approximate
drive time: 45 minutes from Sky Harbor Airport.
