According to club designer Robert Trent Jones Jr, 'This isn't just another golf course'. Few courses in the Phoenix-Scottsdale are can boast the attributes and amenities of Dove Valley. It is unsurpassed in natural beauty and play. At every turn, brilliant greens contrast with the desert's muted palette of ocotillo, saguaro, ironwood, palo verde and cholla and there is never a dull fairway or green setting. Jones has ingeniously blended some tricky design elements into a pleasing order of holes with varying degrees of difficulty. The result is a design that puts a premium on variety and shot strategy. Unlike many of the Arizona's "target" golf courses, Dove Valley is more player friendly. It has well manicured transition areas that allow for ease of recovery without penalty. You'll find traps on every single hole, and the finishing hole is a nice par 4 with water on the right and plenty of traps around the green. The course threads through the open desert below Black Mountain and will provide everyone with a challenging yet refreshing round of golf.
